I didn't start my lawnmower for a season or two. I didn't have a gas leak but it wouldn't start. Mine was kept were the rain could get to the air filter. I removed the air filter and poured a little gas on it and reinstalled it. It was just enough to get it to fire. Had to do that twice then the gas began to flow right and it kept running. When they won't start its a good idea to remove the plug and blow it off so if its flooded or wet, it can start off dry again. That helps it start when gas and spark are right.
It depends on the make of the mower but Sears parts has parts for a lot of mowers. The have detailed diagrams of the whole mower if you can determine the make and model of it. The parts can be ordered from the diagram.

I filled up the lawnmower gas tank and immediately saw dripping. It has continued. Could I have a hole in the gas tank, or is something clogged forcing gas out somewhere? Has anyone ever experienced this? So far I can't get it started anyway, but obviously this is not good.
