hmmm....How far from an outlet are you? I had same situation and found little pathways up along the inside of the carport to run a light extension cord of about 50' and installed one of those $17 walmart motion flood lights and used a 60 watt bulb...total cost about $25. I got the 50' of extension at the Dollar store...16 gauge wire ok for 60 watts and then wired a plug on the light fixture and screwed to wall up high in the car port...may not be up to code but it is safe and can be removed when/if you sell...or if rental the landlord should be checked with prior to stringing the extension... Basically hard to install solar inside carport unless you have good sun access and adequate fixture for your light needs which I never found after a week or two of looking at solar..the best solar answer I found started running close to $100 for enuf light and pwer that a cheap 60 watt bulb gives...then use a florescent bulb to cut the wattage down to 4 watts...but I have a ton of 60's to use up.
