Citromella ants are not yellow - they are called citronella because they smell like citronella. I had them a while ago this time of year for several years too. I don't remember what I used but I know that I now use cornmeal flour for any kind of ant that I come across. Initially it draws the ant and it looks like it is more infested but they go back to the nest and die off. Haven't had any bug problems since. When I happen to see an ant I spray it with Windex and they die instantly. Good for an every now and then type ant.
