Orbital allows you to go any direction. I have several sizes and do lots of mitered corners. Who ever was complaining about the cost of paper for the Craftsman sander--- I buy mine on-line.

I have purchased from both with good results. There are other out there. Both have just about any configuration paper for any sander. Look around for woodworking stores or industrial supply houses. I never project pac from the box store as the price per sheet is way too expensive. I buy 50 or 100 count sleeves and cut to size if the sander has clips. Murka and Norton are good brands as well as 3M. Open coat will not clog as fast. For wood Stick with aluminum oxide or garnet. AO lasts better.
