After reading your post I can only be thankful for the wonderful neighbors with which we are blessed. There can be nothing worse than a disagreement over property lines. When we bought this place I quickly noticed that our neighbor needed to move one of his vehicles every time they wished to take the other out of the garage and then put the unused car back in their driveway. Since we had a double lot and plenty of room, I offered to have a portion rocked as I added rock behind our garage to provide him with a parking spot. John was very thankful and offered to pay for half of my total cost of the rock. That was almost 20 years ago and now after many changes and additions to the property, he still has his reserved parking spot and our relationship has been without disagreement. I feel that providing them with that parking area was one of the best cost free investments I have ever made. When we added a 5 foot chain link fence to the read portion of our property we left a three foot walking path between our fence and theirs and even though this strip is totally on our land it again was a courtesy gesture that has delivered dividends.

And then came the problem with a "troublesome" neighbor. "Troublesome" is
being complimentary, believe me. He claimed he owns halfway across my
driveway. Actually, he still claims that even though I had a survey done
which showed otherwise. Between our houses, I asked the survey crew to put
some stakes on the property line so that I could put up a fence.
