Aside from the glass, the old brittle putty & esp the paint
WILL get in your eye doing this. Glasses ARE a must!
Have 6 mil & tape/staple to close up after as you will measure
after the putty is all gone, since you are not a pro. Tell the cutter
the measurement is without expansion room and to subtract
what he suggests. (It's more, if you replace with plastic, which
expands 8x as much.)
Tools will be GLASSES/a goggle, a small hammer, mebe gloves,
a cheap wood (1 side sharpened, not 2 as for metal) or a flat
screwdriver. Work parallel to the putty, not AT it, or you may
damage the frame. Some comes of quite easily; others, not &
it's slowwww work. Glass can fall on your hand/arm. Mebe a
coat...? Up to you. TRY to be slightly above the work!
