My next concern is getting a lift installed to the living quarters. Just a simple, one person box. Wheelchair lifts cost about $2500-$4000 and up - they have DIY kits but no warranty if they don't install them. I read online where these are fairly simple to construct. Any one have any personal experience with constructing one of these? We have no code restrictions here nor permit requirements. So if one of the local guys could do this for a little less I'd be OK with that. We live out and it's difficult to get companies to make visits to give quotes etc.
