Subject: [DIY] Ordering cabinets online
We are parting ways with our contractor - final straw is the cabinets. I need base drawers rather than regular cabinets, and pantry with pull out shelves — all which cost more. The company he orders from doesn't make them - and he insists they will have to be custom made. I got an estimate from Lowes yesterday, for what we need, their installation fees are the same but the cabinets are higher costs for lower quality plus it takes 5 weeks to get them then once installed another two to get the countertop. Other than the two mentioned, we only have base cabinets so I'm thinking of ordering them myself and either DIY or hiring someone. I'm looking at Cabinetstogo.com right now, they seem to be a compromise with what I want and reasonable cost. Anyone with experience ordering cabinets online?
