1) ACCURATE 16-OUNCES OF Cold WATER AND ACCURATE FAHRENHEIT THERMOMETER 2) MEASURE TEMP OF COLD WATER ACCURATELY IN FAHRENHEIT 3) BURNER ON HIGH FOR 1-MINUTE (60-SECONDS) 4) MEASURE (NEW) TEMP OF WATER ACCURATELY IN FAHRENHEIT CALC CHANGE IN TEMP IN DEGREES
(CHANGE IN TEMP in degrees Fahrenheit) x 60 = BTU/Hour
Example: 100x60 = 6,000btu/hr (starting temp 70, heated temp 170, DELTA change= 100)
Example: If the change is up to 212 (boiling), then heat 30-seconds, and multiple (change) by 120
Fresh cold water with each test, cold temp measured accurately each test.
