It binds when I hold it against a straightedge or when holding it by hand. It binds more when I hold it against a straightedge. It also does not cut straight when using the bevel. I had it set for 45 degrees and when I cut through a 2 x 8, it bound half way through. I cut from the opposite side to complete the cut and it was 3/4" difference. I don't know if there is a way to align it.
