[DIY] How to wire

 

I would like to install an electrical outlet on my covered front porch. I want to hook into the existing electric light and just run a wire down the wall and install the outlet. I know how to wire it and have it only "hot" when the light switch is turned on. My question is How to wire it so it is hot whether the light switch is on or not.

I know it can be done because I had it done at my other home.
i just don't the exact wiring sequence to accomplish it.
