My "BuckStove" insert burns wood. If the doors are closed and I open the front vents a lil it drafts such that a packed bag of garbage or a telephone book becomes not a black mess but fine grey ash. And if on, the fan will heat a room TOO much. I sometimes run our furnaces summer fan typo circulate the heat and the Buckstove heats the whole house. mine has Cast Iron door inserts. Glass is available.

BTW, Ideally we are all supposed to attach a water hose to our water heater and drain it monthly... LOL! ... to remove sediment. I mebe do it annually. YMMV. Also warm water there for dog washing.
