Re: [DIY] Re: For the Holidays, I got a burnt out fridge

I haven't tinkered with it nor have I called anyone out to simply tell me they'll want all of my money.  However I did take a photo of the copper pipe which seems to have more green on it after the blowout then it had before.  I also noticed a lot of dust built up on the bottom front of the grates (a bit surprising for me).  I'l have to continue to check further but other than that I didn't see any obvious signs of anything unusual.  I'm still considering trying to plug it back in just to see what happens.  I hate not knowing if it's really kaput or not.

Does the photo show any obvious signs to anyone with knowledge on this type of thing?

Also a more minor question.  The fridge and freezer are pretty much empty.  I've wiped down everything and dried everything.  I noticed today that the empty freezer has developed mold in it (green).  Not exactly sure where the moisture would be coming from (I'm thinking the area that leads down inside the back...the guts).  Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening.  Pop in some baking soda and keep the door cracked open?
