[DIY] Wireless lighting Question

 

Hello,

I am new here! I have a question regarding wireless lighting. We had an electrician put in a wireless switch for our kitchen and dining room. This is an old house and there was not light switch for these rooms. This was done last April. About a week ago, I went to turn on the kitchen light and got a zap like static electricity. Since then, the switch does not turn on either light.

How do I know if its the light switch itself or the remote unit in my dining room light?
