Muriatic Acid is used to adjust pool chemistry (can be risky). You can also get powdered chlorine at the pool supply. Both can cause landscaping damage if you don't water it down a lot during cleanup.
Hardware stores also carry a product that you spray on rust marks and they disappear. Literally. We used it on the stucco sides of our house and the rust marks were gone in minutes (rust in our irrigation water). Ask in the irrigation dept of your hardware store. Wish I could remember the name of this stuff, because it really works well, and easily, and little risk of chemical burns.
