we had “Street Shoe” floor finish done on our hardwood floors about 8 years ago and it’s held up very well
to two dogs chasing each other around the house. It’s waterbased and dries to a very hard finish.

comes in satin as well as high gloss finish (we used the gloss finish and the floor always looks almost wet). After 8 years,
it about time to look into recoating it though.

we are going to do the same thing . remove the carpet in the living room. the last house we lived in had older wood floors and i used to put holowway wax on and they made the floors shiney.
