Speaking about this, does anyone know the best way to insulate that concrete? What is available as a vapor barrier so I can prevent car exhaust coming up from the garage underneath. Any help would be so appreciated.

Thanks Aki, my only real goal right now is to cover the concrete, as cheaply and easily as possible. I think these will do the job, we just payed out a big chunk of money to finish installing wood on the ceiling and insulating the rest of the living area. These we can do ourselves.Thanks to everyone for your input, it helped to make our decision.
