Just a thought, but maybe wrapping the sack in plastic and sealing the seams with duct tape to keep the moisture out.
Perhaps add some sort of moisture absorbing product in as well (not sure what. Google for suggestions).

I had a small patch job that I needed to buy a bag of cement to complete. Unfortunately, the only bag I found at the big box store comes in 55# sizes. I used perhaps 5-10 lbs. Is there a way any of you know to keep cement for an extended period so that it does not harden. I live in humid North Carolina and I already have a hardened bag of cement that I can do nothing with. Suggestions would be welcomed.
