Looks like you are having some wild weather Steve. We live in a unique weather area, the cold weather from the north comes down to meet with the winds coming from the west and the warm moist air from the south - setting up a rotation and creating the strong thunderstorms we get. It usually take about three days for weather on the west coast to reach us but we only have one chance of rain between now and the end of the month. The temps bounce up and down but never staying down more than a few hours - a day at the most. Very unusual weather. The storms that have made it through have stayed to the north of us.
I think the first cold spell might be on its way. Its passing over Seattle, WA since yesterday. The way storm systems snake across the country it may not hit your area but there is one coming that direction.
Its been warm here in California too since Christmas. Before that it was wet and cold for a couple of months.
This is a doppler radar map of the whole country. You can see the direction its heading. The bottom of it is supposed to get this area a little wet this weekend, I think its this same storm. This area has been getting a lot of storm systems coming up from Mexico, almost like summertime but its cold. Those southern systems seem to push the northern systems away from this area.
