Depending on what the room is to be used for, painters drop cloths make great draperies and are very inexpensive at WalMart. You can sew a rod pocket at one end to slip over a rod or use the clip drapery hangers. If you definitely want the curve you can buy curved curtain rods, Penny's has them, or maybe use the curved shower rods in some way. We had an old house once that used pipe & the curved connections to make a "U" shaped rod over the tub. It was hung from the ceiling on metal straps.
