Good idea, I'll give them a call. I also saw there are handheld methane detectors for $40 on Amazon. Has anyone used one of those before? How accurate are they given that the smell is so faint that I am questioning whether or not it's even there?
FWIW, I checked it first thing when I woke (6 hours with laundry door closed) and nothing, though I did catch the faint smell of "new appliance odor" (rubber and/or plastic). I checked again 3 hours later and it just kind of smelled like laundry (fabric softener).
I'm going to wait a longer time and see if it's something that appears with a longer timer, maybe 12 hours.
