Re: [DIY] Toilet stain

Don't give up on the pumice. Get it good and wet when using it. I have never had it fail but it does take elbow grease.

Today I used a pumice stone specifically for toilets. Realized it is not a rust type stain... there IS a built up of a ring of dried lime!! Blue in color from the years of the blue toilet junk stuff in the tank. Makes me wonder about the cleaning ladies for the past 10 to 15 years...

I worked for over 10 minutes on the ring and lessened it but could not completely remove it. Will try again next week.

I am thinking of buying some CLR and letting it soak...even a bar of Lava Soap that one of you suggested.

Was there another product suggested for build up of lime?

Thank you for all of your advice and suggestions!

(Ray... I LOVE Whink... now I realize that the blue ring is a build up of hard water lime... so no wonder the Whink did not work)
