My walk in garage door swings out and the new door for my shop will also be hung to swing out for just that reason. You can always put a removable draft and dirt stopper along the bottom of a door that swings out, but it is pretty hard to do on a door that swings in. If I find the need to add a screen door to keep the dogs out in the summer it can swing in, but I will probably only cover the lower half and make the hinges so that it can be quickly removed and stored away when not needed.

You want a exterior door, preferably metal (for security/ maintenance) that swings into garage, sits ON TOP of the threshold, so that water that runs down the door drains OUT. I say this because I bought one that has a stepped threshold, and water runs IN. (woulda' worked great if I had an OVERHANG/ or porch roof...) Terry mailto:thenne1713%40aol.com
