Re: [DIY] Drywall

For the garage-

We used regular (unnetted) tape, and went for the rough textured
mud applied with a slight swirl of the mud trowel...loved the results-
cameout so good we built an closet into a logical corner of the down
stairs and finished the drywall with the same rough technique
(as was the rest of the house)..came out great..just took a litte
patience with the seams and (metalized) corners....

And it was fun...

Home depot had everything we needed (of course!!)

FYI..we combined last two projects together and since the
bill came to a few thousand for materials HD gave us a
pretty good discount..so if you can plan ahead a few projects
we saved almost 15%///(And in California that ALMOST paid
for all the Calitaxitis that it costs to live here!)

Rich and Kate
PS_

1st time Kate used a power driver to screw all the drywall onto the studs..!!
