Re: [DIY] F150 Exhaust Pipe hanger

 

Are there 2 nuts on those two stud bolts holding the rusty bracket on the frame section? Tried to copy the picture and mark them but the page wouldn't let me. Looks like the whole bracket can be removed but the threads on the bolts are probably pretty corroded. If they are bolts.
If you can get the bracket out you may be able to work on it better and maybe see the trick.

I trying to replace a rusted through tail pipe on a 1991 F150. I can't figure out how to remove the hanger. The first picture shows the old hanger and the 2nd pic is the new tail pipe section. I could cut off the old hanger, but I'm not sure if I have enough room to maneuver the new section hanger.


Is there a special tool or other trick?
