[DIY] The backup question to whom ever asked--

EE IS RELEVANT!! Dont cut yourself short!!

We earned the sheepskin, used it, hopefully made life a little better for our fellow man.

BTW- We keep three rotating backup media..now they ar three terabyte removable USB drives
plus the SD chips

TO backup for theperson who inquired..just plug in a removabe device, format it once the
first time, thenjust drag the files you want backed up and voila...you are done...everything
does not have to get backup each time..we back our entire system only 1 or 3x a month
and rely on microsoft windows restore points for any virus issues.

I, too, am an EE, though that is not really relevant.  I have had every form of backup fail at one time or another, including tape, floppy, HD, flash drive, and (Yes) Norton online backup service.  The only statisically sound method of backup, in my opinion is to be sure you have two physically separate copies of every file you care about but who does that?
