Re: [DIY] Control panel on oven blew-now need to check Breaker UPDATE

New oven and MW trim kit sitting in the kitchen, but no one knows how to get the old one unlocked so it can be removed from cabinet. Everything is fried and the controls are locked. It's been a long drawn-out process between techs and installers - neither one wanting to take the responsibility of possibly causing more property damage. Whirlpool says if it won't open with the normal method, then it becomes Sears problem since they use the same techs. Yesterday after 3 hrs on the phone they talked to someone who said there is a way to get into the control box with a coat hanger — not sure if that's the one coming but someone is supposed to be here on Tuesday to do whatever it takes to remove the oven and install the new one. What a mess this has been - the more complicated things become the harder they are to repair.

The normal way to unlock it would be to turn off the power, turn it back on and complete a series of off/on…..but there is no power to the oven. I'm not sure if the breaker is fried too or the outlet or simply the oven wiring.
