[DIY] Re:Bill/ Erecting a 30' pole

We had a 15' heavy antenna plus rotor attached to our old old
house (50 years) and lots of wind in N.Illinois...like 70 MPH-
this old chimney kept going and going...no problem..but we had
4 guy wires taut which took a lot of wind stress...

without knowing the type of chimney construction no one
can summarily advise against using it as an ant. spt..

You need to decide if your chimney is solid or so-so...
you can literally grab the part of the chimney you want
to attach the pole to and gently try to move it back
and forth to see if it loose...and/or send a pic of the
aforementioned chimney here and let everyone blow smoke
at each other...LOL
