RE: [DIY] Urgent ? Re sod

 

Cover it?  I would have said remove the old grass and level (adding topsoil where necessary), then put on new sod and roll it.  That's what the landscape co did for me. The new sod took off like gangbusters. I have should have done it years ago. They used a weedeater to remove the old grass, scalping it to bare dirt.

 

Any sod supplier will have a staff person to advise on what works best in your area. I live in Pearland,Texas (south of Houston).
