Yes, we have decided to attach an extended pole to our chimney along with guy-wires. This might enable up to make it even a bit taller as we live in a hole surrounded by tall trees.
I think just weaning ourselves off Direct TV, which we end up criticizing more than enjoying, will help our mental attitude. I think of all the productive things I could be doing instead of watching 20 minutes worth of annoyingly LOUD commercial in a 2-hour movie.

We are tired of Direct TV and are going with an antennae for the local stations available in our area via satellite. Can someone suggest a way to mount a 30' pole to hold the antennae?
We will be placing it in-between a house and a very close guest-trailer. We are trying to stay off of ladders as much as we can.
