>I know this is a do it yourself group but we tried to do it ourself and it didnt work lol,,,anyhow, we have 2 bathrooms,, 1 up and one down,,this is a quad level house that we just recently purchased so we dont know if it had prior problems,,,It started when the bathroom upstairs was flushed and we can hear the downstairs toilet bubbling, then the drain in the bathroom water was coming up from it, make a long story short,my husband snaked the main drain, pulled up some roots, put some root away in there and here we are 2 weeks later, same problem,,,So, what im asking is can anyone recommend a plumber in Allen Park Area that has a camera and that is reasonable?..Thanks to all....Flo
No, you just didn't finish.
Go rent a snake.
4 level house?
Still, you just do 1 level at a time.
So a 3/8" snake ought to be 50-75 ft long.
Start at the bottom. Use a roto-rooter cutter.
BE SURE when you rent that you get the full compliment of attachments
that is possibler. often, these are broken or lost and you go rent & go
home with mebe 2 of 4-5 possible types.
This means in many homes, pulling the toilet.
NOT a hard job. Any woman can do it. Tell hubby we
said so. If that ends up being YOU, then YOU get to
select, buy, & drink the rewards, as HE cooks dinner.
After this, mebe monthly, flush a lil bleach down the
drain once a week or month. That will deter roots.
Now, look to the yard & consider replacing trees with
types that have less invasive roots and more FRUIT
to enjoy, & from which to make wine.
Now, go embarrass hubby. That's ALLLways fun.
Know how to pull a toilet? Ask. No sweat. Only thing
is to have a new wax gasket on hand for each.
~$4 for a GOOD one. Roll of paper towels. Sticky wax...
Oh... Cheap gloves, some beer, & pants that show your
crack.
