[DIY] Pressure tank clicking on and off

The pressure tank for the water heater is clicking from 70-80 every 10 seconds.  No water running anyplace that I can find.  Don't remember it ever doing this. Water pressure seems OK right now.  Been reading on-line this is a symptom of it being out of water?  Probably going bad?  Any ideas simpler than what I'm reading online that I don't feel comfortable doing?  Didn't notice it yesterday so assume it started during the night.

Only change is we installed a mini-hot tub, one of those coleman blowups.  Filled it from the water hose - which was cold water.  Can't imagine it affected the hot water tank unless it somehow affected the well?  Can't find the #gal of water it takes but 6'round and maybe 30" deep.  My jacuzzi tub used 70 gal so would guesstimate about 140gal???  We routinely run the water for the horse tanks, not quite that much but never noticed this problem with the pressure tank.

Please tell me this is something I can do and don't have to call the plumber out again.  It started storming about 4am - but not bad - don't think lightening could have been a problem
