RE: [DIY] Can't turn the shut-off valve

Either do this or shut off the water to the building and replace the valve.  If you're concerned about the age, they have in Lowe's and Angle Stop that you can actually put on another angle stop.  I've seen (and used) the 3/8" size but I don't know if it's available for 1/2".

If you have a basement, can you find the appropriate water line down there and hopefully find another place to shut off the water?

I'm attempting to replace my toilet and I can't get the shut-off valve to turn, not even a little. Tried the pb spray, Channel lock pliers, it won't budge.

Any ideas? The house is 90 years old, not sure if this is the original toilet, don't think so.
