Buy new (maybe buy two/ three), and buy an empty large plastic toolbox to label as "Plumbing", and start buying spare parts in pairs (when you get a match), a) BECAUSE plumbing parts are always so different, AND you always have plumbing break when either b) it is late and the stores are closed or; c) the stores close to home do not have the part you need; AND d) it will never be cheaper when you go to buy it the next time...
