Thanks Lena, we had these before, wonder why we didn't think to install them here? I guess there has been so much to do at one time we overlooked simple details. At least that sounds better than just plain don't remember anymore :) We've been sans horses of our own for 10 years.

For the water trough out back I bought a float at the local farm supply store (Ours is Tractor Supply don't know where you're located). Mounted it to the water trough and hooked up the hose. It comes on when needed and shuts off when full. Think it was about $30. or so. Sure beats watering everything downhill from the trough all night.
