Bought one of these for a gift last year. Since it was from a garage sale I washed it good with hot soapy water. The cup on the bottom and teapot on top just came apart.  off. There is one cup and saucer still glued together. Have you tried using cotton saturated with aceton?  Let it set awhile then try again with hop water

Anyone know how to remove 100% silicone caulk? I built a glass totem and want to redo parts of it. It is glued together with the silicone caulk. 

I have used a hair dryer trying to soften it...and a razor blade...having a heck of a time.
