[DIY] RE: Rust removal

Check Google

-- what has worked for me is Boeshield Rust & Stain Remover then follow up with T-9 corrosion protection, you can find this product at woodworking stores such as Rockler.  T-9 is what is used to protect aircraft and is great for tools and does not need to be removed.

I have also used WD-40 Rust Removal.  Also a WD protectant but it needs to be removed with mineral spirits before using the covered tool.

Navel Jelly leaves stains but removes rust - I don't use it anymore - don't like the stains

Look on youtube for Electrolysis Rust Removal - you can build the tank and for some it works - I have not tried this technique.

Also if you want cheap, try white unstilled vinegar - again never tried it.

But check Google - a lot of suggestions
