I learned something yesterday when I was thinking of dropping down to laminate countertops to save money. The good laminate is cheaper pr ft, but there is an installation charge - the quartz price is higher pr ft, but includes installation. Plus, the cost to put an undermount sink in laminate is $800, opposed to the $300 for quartz or granite. ……so the final cost isn't that much different.
