There is an epoxy putty for gas tank leaks that you can buy at auto parts store; break a piece off the stick and knead the putty with vinyl gloves on to mix the two parts, and press over hole. I had a car that I used it on after knocking a hole in a tank off-road years ago, racing from the woods to the auto store, praying I could get there without a car fire. It was leak free 5-years later when the car was totaled in a wreck by teenager
