Thanks everyone, I did investigate all of these, part of my problem was the time to have it made once the cabinets were installed. I ended up going with Favrstone, the recycled, formed glass countertops. Some beautiful colors, I was drawn to the "Dove" a dark gray marble look but chose a whiter one with a gray/silver pattern marbled through it. They can pour up to 12' long and 6' deep - so will make a countertop specifically sized to fit our 30" deep cabinets plus an integrated 6" area in front of the window. He will make a template the minute the cabinets are in, it will flow around the farm sink, and since the glass is already ordered they said about a week to install. http://favrstone.com If you live near the Springfield MO area, you can get a real deal on a cabinet/countertop duo.
