Hi Larry,

yes, external door on cabin in the Sierras at Tahoe. My friend who checked cabin for me reported problem, so don't know exact detail. He thought a cleaning might help but he didn't have time or tools with him. Just said it "didn't engage". Good tip about striker plate, i will look at that too. No the deadbolt is working. Never had a problem with this lock since door put in 37 yrs ago. Trying to find the Houdini Lock Lube you suggested.
