Re: [DIY] closed water tank repair

If the tank is polypropylene, it has to be thermally welded.
You can get a plastic welder at HarborFreight.com.

Most tanks are made of a plastic that glues will not adhere to.  Can you get to both sides, and how large is the hole?

I have a closed portable water tank that i need to replace the male fitting on. I am having a difficult time finding a local plastic welder. I have considered taking a male hose fitting and some how gluing it  in place. The water stored in the tank is used to water horses.

What type of glue is recommended, or is there another way of repairing this tank?
