Hi Bob, basically it's replacing the glass in a frame with hardware cloth. Putting it on the inside of the frame leaves a slight space between the wire and the wall so you can slip hooks through it. I wanted a large one to hang on the wall for display and had no problem making it -- but couldn't get it as taut as the commercial ones. When I pulled hard enough to take the slack out the staples popped at the other end. Maybe they use a heavier cloth.
