[DIY] Re: Tape on AC Compressor Pipe Insulation

 

If I understand right you are asking about the foam pipe insulation on
the freon lines and not your air ducts. If that is correct, then go get
some black tape and repalce it if you want. When I worked with a HVAC
installer we would use black duct tape or even electrical tape. The main
reason for the tape was to keep the insulation on and hold the
thermostat wire while feeding the line in the house.
