Re: [DIY] Done with DW for now

>>Jan, there is one thing I would like for you to try.  Run the hot water at the sink for a bit until it is good and hot,  130 Degrees
>> reach under the sink and shut off the cold water valve.  Done
>>Now start your dish washer on a rinse and hold cycle and once it has started to wash open the door   in my 12 cycles I don't have a rinse and hold :) but opened the door,

Dale, it is slightly warmer, about 90 but I attribute that to the fact I'd just ran a load with heated dry.  The second fill was 100. —— this has been the sequence all along, cool first fill and each one the temp increases — but unfortunately the detergent is dispensed early in the cycle.

But surprise - there is suds in the water.  I have to assume some of the undissolved detergent from earlier was still hiding someplace?  I cleaned it from the filters, and have been using liquid ever since.

I'm going to present it to GE and see if they have any suggestions before I ask for a service call.  Still can't believe this is right.  Nothing in the manual addresses temp other than to say it requires a minimum of 120 max of 150.

>>Jan, here is a chart of volumes per foot for pipe and tubing that I thought you would find interesting

Thanks Dale, I'm going to post that down in the utility room.

Made one more stab at the DW, and kept my fingers crossed.  Double checked everything and……..nada.  I've gone over all the literature and with all their trouble-shooting advice, this is one item that isn't covered :)  What drives me crazy is I know it worked right when I first used it — and wouldn't have been aware anything had changed if I hadn't noticed the detergent wasn't dissolving.  It's under warranty although I read in a couple of places if you call them out and nothing is wrong, they charge for a service call.

Bought myself a new drill (and other toys) for consolation, like it?   Drill, tool bag, tools, plus apron — all the same color, LOL.
