Yes Judi, Lowe's, and maybe all of them, require you to purchase new lines, hoses etc or they won't install them — even if you have fairly new ones already. I griped about it because the hoses, cords etc for the washer and dryer came to an additional $100 and I bought the cheapest they had.

we just got a new washer from lowes delivered friday and the guy couldnt hook it up because he said the faucets that the hoses were connected to were brittle and we needed new ones so i had to wait till monday. to get a plummer to do it.
