Pumps, you are probably right - but finding someone to come out is easier said than done - especially when they didn't do the original work. I will have to see if the contractor will come out when he can, he's doing a big job and hasn't been able to get over here to do much. He's not a plumber but he's honest. We do eventually get hot water, it just doesn't come in hot enough in the first couple of fills. We rinse the dishes anyway, so I'll just use liquid detergent and live with it till I can find someone. Tradesmen don't like to come this far out unless it's a sizable job. Thanks though for your input.
Jan, let's be honest.....From your pictures it appears that everything
under the sink is brand new......There is nothing wrong with your DW
and it should be getting hot water......BUT IT IS NOT because it is
plumbed incorrectly......Someone made a mistake......All of us on this
"thread" are trying to help you but it is impossible via the "net".....You
have to get ANOTHER professional in there to correct the problem......
Just because a tradesman has a fancy truck and charges a lot of money
per hour is no guarantee of his professional skills......"Bite the bullet"
and have someone else look at the problem......In the end you will find
a better tradesmen......There is nothing in a DW to prevent hot water
from entering it (or reducing water temperature)......Find a PRO....Pumps
