It is a huge frustration right now but I can't fix it - not easy to find someone who will come look at it. We'll get through it, you guys have certainly put forth some interesting thoughts. Weather turning bad tomorrow - so will be interesting to see if it changes any. It's very frustrating to depend on professionals - who may or may not know what to do in a situation like this. I have found guys who probably are very competent — don't want to work on the barn. They prefer "business as usual" type jobs. And, the guys who did the job guarantee it — if it's not right they'll fix it till it is. However - they say their work was done right - there is hot water at the connection - so it must be the fault of the dishwasher. I may take the line off completely and see how much cold water it will hold - or if there is anything in the line - at least I'll know that for myself.
On the plus side, the new washer/dryer were delivered and installed and worked great. I asked him to test the hot water in the test cycle, oh boy, we had steam coming out right away. They are about 15-20' from the hot water heater but on the same level. The plumbing for it is part of the new system, so at least it seems to be working as it should.
