I bought 2 angle grinders from harbor freight for about 29 bucks apiece,
have gone through 6 grinding wheels, 2 teenagers working on cars, and other
than they are a little noisy, they still work great. Angle grinders are not
precision tools, unless you intend to use them daily for hours, don't waste
the money on the expensive ones. I have even cut boiler plate with mine,
and use them to knock off rust and prep the joints before welding.

Subject: [DIY] Angle Grinder Suggestions
Hi,
I would like to buy a 4-1/2" angle grinder and would appreciate input from
any owners with comments pro and con.
I'm looking at Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita. There are many reviews on the
internet but after reading them I am still not able to decide on one
particular model.
Will be using this to remove rust, sharpen drill bits, cut off too long
bolts, and possibly also for chipping away at cinder block from time to time.
I'm hoping to find a grinder that can do all of the above, and not fail in
the first 30 days, and will spend up to 150.00
Thanks for any suggestions
Paul
