David, keeping a water temp of 145F is just a matter of cost efficiency....
120F is the minimum for dishwasher needs and it is also hot enough
for humans.....145F means it costs you more to heat water.....Then you
add cold water to it and there is your waste of money on electricity
or fuel......Pumps
